As an alumnus of Virginia Tech, James Hoggard is a loyal Hokie who earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and studied abroad in England, Scotland, and Wales with a focus on Shakespearean,   Romantic, and Victorian Literature.

Following graduation, James traveled to The People's Republic of China where he taught British Literature and English as a Second Language (ESL) at Anhui University and later at South Central   University of Finance and Economics.

After three years in China, James returned to Virginia where he earned his Master of Arts in   International Cross-Cultural Communications from Regent University.
